Hesto Harnesses

For over 36 years, Hesto has manufactured automotive vehicle wiring harness and instrument clusters.

Hesto employs c.8 000 employees across its 23,259m² facility, and operates as a partnership between Metair (74.9%) and technical partner Yazaki Corporation (25.1%).

Products: Wiring harnesses, instrument cluster/combination meters, moulded parts

Lumotech

Originally founded in 1957, Lumotech is a lighting and injection moulding manufacturer focused on the production of headlights, tail lights, spotlights, signal lights, and specialized plastic injection moldings.

The manufacturing process involves a broad range of thermoplastic and thermosetting raw materials, sourced both locally and internationally.

Automould

Acquired in 2007, Automould is a manufacturing operation specialising in high-quality technical plastic injection moulding, chrome plating, body color painting and assembly, and other products and services for the automotive sector.

In addition the business is diversifying into rigid packaging (plastic bins and plastic pallets).

Unitrade

Since 1970, Unitrade has manufactured and supplied PVC insulated copper cables used in the manufacturing of automotive harnesses, for both the OEM and aftermarket industries.

It has a range of 80 products and produces c.500 million meters of cable annually.

Supreme Spring

Supreme Springs moved into the Automotive space in the 1970’s, and is today a manufacturer of automotive suspension parts.

It has two key brands, Supreme and Cobra, and supplies OEMs and the South African Aftermarket.

Rombat

Acquired by Metair in 2012, Rombat has its headquarters in Bistrita, Romania, and is currently the largest producer of car batteries in Romania with over 100 offices across the country.

It has a network of some 100 offices across Romani, and exports and distributes batteries to France, Italy and Germany.
